We are currently seeking a Foreman/Supervisor for our Processing Plant as well as a number of positions to join the ALLTERRA team including: General Labourers, Heavy Equipment Operators and Water Operations Technicians.

The ‘Process Plant Foreman’ role oversees plant processes and facility integrity for the control and processing of contaminated materials with the responsibility of nurturing an environment that maximizes employee safety, involvement and morale. Within the scope of his/her responsibility, the Process Plant Foreman ensures that water treatment processes and materials processes are optimized for maximum output. Responsibilities also include that facility structure and hull integrity are not compromised by conducting daily inspections, free-board measurements, sub-floor water level measurements, and inspecting line tightness. The Process Plant Foreman is responsible for mechanical awareness and assessment, including generating work orders, for mechanical plant processes. Must have experience with centrifuge screening plant and soils processing.

This position provides direction, guidance & exceptional leadership to the Plant Processing Staff on a daily basis on a schedule of 12hr/day, 4 days on, 4 days off.

Responsibilities • Manage work flows efficiently • Create and maintain production and transportation of contaminated materials schedules • Maintain statistical information on volumes of materials processed, freeboard measurements, productivity, reliability, equipment, transportation schedules, service etc. • Provide training, support and direction to employees to ensure understanding of and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP’s)• Oversee quality control for processed contaminated materials • Conduct near miss, injury and collision investigations, completing corrective actions promptly and communicating resolutions broadly • Communicate with ownership regarding possible issues impacting operations Leadership• Perform supervisory functions to Plant Processing Staff while holding employees accountable through recognition & discipline. • Demonstrate leadership through effective teamwork and demonstrating a positive attitude• Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the company • Participate in training, inspection, investigation and continuous improvement programs • Administration • Oversee the Collection and recording of statistical information for reporting purposes • Facility & Equipment• Ensure compliance with industry, company, and sanitation standards, including making sure physical plant and transportation equipment is free from hazards and meets permitted requirements

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, engineering, logistics or related field. • Ideally shall have five to seven years of progressive experience in a plant operations or similar role• Strong computer software (ie. MS Office) skills required • Leadership competencies required • Integrative thinker and excellent problem-solving skills. • Strong work ethic, ability to multi-task in a high-pressure Work Environment • Attention to detail, organization skills • High initiative, self-motivation • Strong, interactive team player. • Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities. • Ability to produce accurate and timely reports. • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).

Work Environment The Work Environment is set on an at sea Barge with daily transportation provided. This is not a Fly in/ Fly out position. Safety shoes and rain gear are a requirement. In this 40-hour per week work schedule, your shift will regularly include weekend work as well as variability in shift start/finish timings (days/afternoons/evenings), based on specific job requirements . Shift timings will likely be subject to rotation and scheduled days of work may change from time to time based on business requirements . Flexibility in your schedule is a key job requirement.
